Meetings

Join Us!

We meet the first Monday of each month at 7 p.m.  Join us to learn more about historic preservation in the Arsenal Riverbend neighborhoods and the City of Dearborn.  Some meetings are held in person and some are conducted via Zoom.

Monday, May 2, 7 p.m.

The Greenest Building is the One Already Built  -- James B. Lindberg, Senior Policy Director National Trust for Historic Preservation  Mr. Lindberg will share findings from The Greenest Building: Quantifying the Environmental Value of Building Reuse, a study by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.  This national study found that "the greenest building is the one already built."  One of its key findings: "It takes 10 to 80 years for a new building that is 30 percent more efficient than an average-performing existing building to overcome, through efficient operations, the negative climate change impacts related to the construction process.”  Be sure to join us via Zoom to hear this national expert speak directly to Dearborn residents to offer thoughts on how a community's environmental and historic preservation goals can work hand-in-hand.
